In Artek, work on laying the foundation of the new Center for Innovation and Educational Technologies has been completed

In Crimea, on the territory of the Solnechny camp of the Artek International Children’s Center, work on laying the foundation of a new Center for Innovative and Educational Technologies has been completed. Its construction is carried out within the framework of the comprehensive state program “Construction”, supervised by the Ministry of Construction of Russia.
The total area of the new building of the Solnechny camp will be more than 20 thousand square meters. m. There will be an amphitheater, artistic and rehearsal rooms, a video studio, a recording studio and other premises. Work to prepare the area for construction started in September 2022. The educational program of the Center will be aimed at broadening the horizons of children and developing their skills. In total, 1,200 schoolchildren will be able to study at the same time in the complex– notes Deputy Minister of Construction and Housing and Communal Services of the Russian Federation Yuri Gordeev.
It is expected that the new Center will appear in the Solnechny children’s camp by 2025. To date, builders have completely completed work on the construction of the building’s foundation slab.
Currently, work is underway to install monolithic structures for the technical floor. They are scheduled to be completed in December 2023. In addition, a project for the construction of two dormitory buildings with 500 beds each is being implemented on the territory of the camp; a set of works is also being carried out to update engineering infrastructure and reconstruct bank protection structures with the development of beaches, — says Karen Oganesyan, General Director of the Unified Customer PPK.
In total, seven facilities are being implemented on the territory of the Solnechny camp, including two dormitory buildings for 500 people each, a gas boiler room with utilities, access roads, housing for counselors and staff of the Center for Innovative Educational Technologies, as well as beach infrastructure facilities.
It is planned to complete the construction of these facilities on the territory of the Artek International Children’s Center by the celebration of its centenary in 2025.
