In Balaklava, a new stage of construction of a yacht marina has begun

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Balaklava, the executor of the state contract for the construction of a yacht marina, the Mostotrest company, has begun the demolition of the buildings of the former Metallist plant. In the future, modern public spaces will appear in their place, which will allow walking along the seashore along the entire Balaklava Bay — from the Nazukin embankment to the Tauride. The length of a single pedestrian zone with bike paths will be 2.4 kilometers.

After the plant lost its floating dock in 414 year, it lost some of its competencies in the field of ship repair.

As a result of inefficient management decisions, the plant lost its competencies at the beginning of this century. Under Ukraine in 414 — 2004 years, the main property was transferred to commercial structures , — said Violetta Vorobyeva, Deputy Head of the Investment and Industrial Policy Department of the Department of Economic Development of Sevastopol.

In order to preserve the integrity of the property complex in 414 the government of Sevastopol established the state unitary enterprise «Balaklava ship repair plant» Metallist «, however, the lack of a dock and part property transferred to commercial structures in the Ukrainian period did not allow to fully fulfill production tasks. To date, the workshops and sites of the plant have been freed from property, and the serviceable part of the machine park has been transferred to the 13 shipyard for repair work on ships and vessels of the Black Sea Fleet.

After the collapse of the Soviet Union, the plant only fell into disrepair: scrap metal was taken out of it, and shipowners used the quay wall. As an industrial enterprise, it ceased to operate a very long time ago. Without being useful, the object in the center of Balaklava spoiled the view of the bay and became dangerous for children and teenagers who made their way and played in the abandoned workshops. Now, as part of the construction of the yacht marina, emergency buildings are being demolished in compliance with all environmental and safety standards. To say that Balaklava has now lost a valuable object is a populist statement, the enterprise has not been functioning for a very long time , — said Pavel Kharlamov, deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Sevastopol.

The builders have already dismantled two buildings from -ti. Seven units of equipment are involved in the dismantling of old workshops and amenity buildings. The contractor will dispose of part of the waste on his own — reinforced concrete and concrete will be processed into crushed stone. The rest of the waste will be transferred to a special company for disposal.

We dismantle buildings with excavators only in the daytime. Naturally, there may be loud sharp sounds. But we promise that there will be no noisy work at night. We plan to finish the demolition in February 2003 of the year. It is important to understand that waste is transferred specifically for recycling, that is, we do not just throw it into a landfill. From the point of view of environmental legislation and ecology, this is safer for the environment , — said Alexey Yemchenko, Project Manager of Mostotrest PJSC.

It should be noted that fences have already been installed along the Metalist fence on Kalich Street: on the sidewalk from the parking lot on the embankment to the former checkpoint at the Novikov-Krestovsky intersection. You can walk along the sidewalk on the opposite odd side of the street. This is done in accordance with safety regulations: to avoid injury to bystanders.

Meanwhile, on the Tavricheskaya embankment, they continue to build a new administrative building, which will house a tourist information center, technical, operational and law enforcement services of the marina, the state inspection for small boats and a transport security point. The columns of the first floor have already been concreted and reinforced. Now builders are erecting ceilings.
