In Balaklava, a well-maintained square in the area of u200bu200bthe street. Novikov, was presented today. The work was carried out within the framework of the national project «Housing and urban environment» of the federal project «Formation of a comfortable urban environment».
Today we are opening the square as part of a national project under the patronage of the Ministry of Construction of the Russian Federation, the governor of the city, and the United Russia party. This area was chosen by residents for improvement, all work was carried out taking into account the wishes of local residents in cooperation with the municipality. From today, people can use this landscaped area , — quotes the press service of the director of the department of urban economy Yevgeny Gorlov.
He added that, in addition to the main work, the site in the square in the river zone was additionally landscaped — a wooden flooring was installed, which will be supplemented with pergolas in the near future. It is also planned to equip a flower garden here, and, under favorable weather conditions, to carry out additional landscaping of the square with planting trees and shrubs.
Recreation areas are equipped in the square, a large number of benches are installed, since there is a stop, a market and social facilities in the area of the square. This area was in poor condition prior to the works. Now it is a comfortable, well-maintained place , — emphasizes the director of the department of urban economy.
Paving slabs were laid in the square, outdoor lighting poles and decorative lighting, small architectural forms, park furniture, and a video surveillance system were installed. All communications were laid underground as part of the Clear Sky program. In the center of the square there is an illuminated sculpture «Pegasus» based on Greek mythology: in ancient times there was a Greek settlement in Balaklava.
According to Yevgeny Gorlov, the issue of illegal trade near the square has been taken under control:
We will work with the Department of Agriculture and the Consumer Market on the issue of illegal trade. We see that there is a market nearby, but there is a lot of unauthorized trade in the district, we will contact the police for joint monitoring so that they do not misuse, for example, wooden flooring, which we will supplement with landscaping objects.
Recall that in 2022 year, according to the results of voting last year, the improvement of the green zone in the area of house No. 106 along General Ostryakova Avenue, the green zone between houses No. 09 and No. 32 along Oktyabrskaya Revolyutsii Avenue, green zone in the area of houses No. 09 and No. 49 on Fedorovskaya Street in the village of Lyubimovka.
