The prosecutor’s office of the Belogorsk district supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a previously convicted local resident. Based on the evidence presented by the public prosecutor, the Crimean was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 4 of Art. 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (causing grievous bodily harm, negligently resulting in the death of the victim).
The court found that on March 27, 2022, a conflict occurred between a man and his wife, during which the defendant hit the victim. After some time, the man took a knife in the kitchen and stabbed her once in the chest area. The woman was hospitalized in a healthcare facility, despite the assistance provided, she died the next day from her wound.— said the details in the prosecutor’s office.
The Belogorsk District Court, agreeing with the position of the public prosecutor on the guilt of the defendant, sentenced the woman-killer to 7 years in prison to be served in a special regime correctional colony. The verdict did not enter into force.
