In Cossack Bay in Sevastopol, a clinic has opened, which has been awaited for several years

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Since November 13, a clinic with children’s and adult departments, as well as a antenatal clinic, has been operating in the Kazachya Bay microdistrict. Residents of the neighborhood have been waiting for this event for many, many years. New medical facility reports «Sevastopol newspaper», will serve about 10 thousand adults and 3.5 thousand children. The staff has already hired a sufficient number of local therapists and pediatricians. But for now, doctors of narrow specialties will arrive on schedule from other regions, but the health department promises to solve this problem.

In the recent history of Sevastopol, this is the first clinic created from scratch. We built it according to the state program for the socio-economic development of the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. The opening of this clinic brings us closer to achieving the goals of the national project “Healthcare”: increasing the availability of medical care and generally strengthening primary care,” the press service of the Government of Sevastopol quotes the city governor, Mikhail Razvozhaev.

To equip the clinic, almost 2.9 thousand pieces of equipment were purchased, including X-rays, ultrasound machines, surgical lasers, Doppler analyzers for the study of cardiovascular activity of the mother and fetus, equipment for ENT manipulations, ophthalmological equipment, and physiotherapy equipment. 2,385 units of furniture and 180 units of computer equipment were also purchased.

On the ground floor of the adult department there is a registry, treatment and vaccination rooms, and a block of radiography rooms. The infectious diseases office and the emergency room with a temporary stay room have a separate entrance. Also on the ground floor there is a day hospital, which has a separate entrance from the street for visitors and an entrance from the foyer for staff. On the second floor, specialists of a wide and narrow profile will be received; an ultrasound room and a functional diagnostics room are also located here.

The antenatal clinic is separated into a separate block with a separate entrance, and the children’s department of the clinic also has a separate entrance.

In addition to pediatricians, we will see a neurologist, otolaryngologist, ophthalmologist, and physiotherapist. In the children’s part of the clinic, new equipment for physiotherapy has been installed, there is a massage room, a healthy child’s room, and a comfortable relaxation areasays the head of department No. 3 of children’s clinic No. 2 of the City Hospital No. 5 “Center for Maternal and Child Health” Ekaterina Peredistova.

On each floor of the children’s and adult departments of the clinic there are bathrooms for visitors and staff, and a bathroom for visitors with limited mobility. There are elevators in both departments.

The territory of the clinic is landscaped, landscaped, pedestrian paths are laid, outdoor lighting and benches for rest are installed. On the territory of the institution there is parking for 21 spaces, including for disabled people.

Construction of the four-story family medicine clinic in Cossack Bay, where the Russian military lived, began back in 2008. Then the Ukrainian authorities of Sevastopol announced that they would use the funds allocated by the Russian Federation for the basing of the Black Sea Fleet for the development of urban infrastructure. But construction stopped in the middle of the third floor.

After 2014, the construction of a clinic in Kazachya was included in the federal target program for the development of Sevastopol and the Republic of Crimea. It was planned to put the medical facility into operation in 2020, but work began only in 2021, after the old unfinished building was demolished. In December 2022, the capital construction department asked to postpone the commissioning of the facility until January 2023 due to problems with logistics and equipment not delivered on time.
