In Crimea, 7 out of 10 employers in Crimea do not have additional payments in excess of sick leave payments
CrimeaPRESS reports:
It is financially unprofitable for employees with little experience and employees with high wages to go on sick leave: they lose income. Often, these people do not go to the clinic and prefer to «get sick at work», exposing colleagues to the risk of infection. SuperJob, a high-paying job search service, found out whether employers practice additional payments for employees who have gone on sick leave to compensate for the reduction in their wages. Representatives of companies from the Crimea took part in the survey.
Additional payments in excess of payments for temporary disability certificates are quite rare for businesses in Crimea: 7 out of 10 employers do not have them. 5% of companies pay employees on sick leave up to average earnings, another 3% — up to actual earnings (that is, the amount that the employee received if he worked, and was not sick). 1 out of 100 companies pay extra up to full salary. Another 1% of employers practice a fixed payment in excess of the sick leave. In 15% of companies, the decision on payments in excess of the sick leave is made on an individual basis— noted in the press service of the service.
