CrimeaPRESS reports:
The investigation of the inter-municipal department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Dzhankoisky” has completed a preliminary investigation of the criminal case against a 25-year-old resident of the Kirovsky district. He is accused of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and storage of narcotic drugs on a large scale). The investigation established the man’s involvement in the illegal possession of drugs on a large scale.
The police stopped a car driven by a young man. During a visual inspection of the vehicle, a cardboard box was found in the back seat containing a dried gray-green substance with a characteristic odor in a polymer bag, and in the front seat there was an electronic scale with remains of a substance of plant origin. According to the examination conclusion, the contents of the package were recognized as a narcotic drug — cannabis (marijuana) with a total weight of 436.21 g, which is a large weight. The suspect explained that he found the package on one of the streets in the village of the Kirovsky district, where he lives, and kept it in his car— reported the press service of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in Crimea.
During the investigation, a preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place was chosen against the person involved. The materials of the criminal case were sent to the prosecutor’s office of the city of Dzhankoy for approval of the indictment.
Police officers appeal to all citizens: if you have any information about drug trafficking, immediately report it to the police for a response. The telephone number 102 is open 24 hours a day.
