In Crimea, a driver carrying grenades was detained. not fruits

In Crimea, during operational-search activities on the Dzhankoy-Kerch-Krannoperekopsk highway, near the gas station in the village of Razdolnoye, Soviet District, the police stopped a Toyota Camry car. The driver was behind the wheel, who, at the sight of police officers through the window of the passenger door of the car, threw a package with unknown objects onto the side of the road.

As a result of the examination of the car and the area around it, the investigators found and seized the components of the explosive object. According to the competent opinion of experts, the seized items are RGD-5 grenades, as well as fuses for them.

It was established that the confiscated item belonged to a previously convicted 27-year-old resident of the Sovietsky district, who admitted that he transported the items in his car. Investigation to find out the source of the acquisition of explosive ordnance— reported in the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea.

The investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Soviet District initiated a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (Illegal acquisition, transfer, sale, storage, transportation, transfer or carrying of explosives or explosive devices). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to eight years.

The Sovetsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea in relation to the suspect chose a measure of restraint in the form of detention for a period of two months.
