In Crimea, a drug courier was caught with two kilograms of “synthetics”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office approved an indictment in a criminal case against a 31-year-old local resident. He is charged under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 5 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted illegal sale of narcotic drugs on an especially large scale).
According to investigators, the accused agreed with another person, the criminal case against whom was separated into separate proceedings, about illegal activities in the sale of prohibited substances. In April 2023, he arrived in the city of Slavyansk-on-Kuban and removed from a cache a wholesale batch of the narcotic drug N-methylephedrone derivative weighing almost 2 kg.
He transported the drugs to the Republic of Crimea, where he set up a cache in the Simferopol region, after which he went to the city of Yalta, where he was detained by police officers— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Yalta City Court for consideration on the merits. The accused faces a long prison term.
