In Crimea, a sentence was passed on fraud in the supply of furniture to kindergartens

In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office of the Belogorsk district supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a resident of the Simferopol district. The court found him guilty of committing a crime under Part 3 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“fraud”).

The court established that the defendant, being an individual entrepreneur, concluded contracts with the heads of two kindergartens for the supply of furniture to preschool educational institutions. The attacker did not fulfill his obligations, however, on the basis of the provided false documents on the fulfillment of the terms of the transactions, he received payment in the amount of about 500 thousand rublesthe prosecutor’s office said.

The court, taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, sentenced the defendant to 1 year and 6 months in prison, which was suspended. Previously, the heads of kindergartens who transferred funds to the entrepreneur were convicted of abuse of office (part 1 of article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation) and official forgery (part 1 of article 292 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The damage caused by the crime has been compensated.
