In Crimea, a verdict was passed in a criminal case of attempted murder of a serviceman
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Dzhankoy District Court of the Republic of Crimea issued a verdict in a criminal case against 62-year-old Ukrainian citizen Vyacheslav Piskunov. He was found guilty under Part 3 of Art. 30, pp. “e”, “g”, “l” part 2 tbsp. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (attempted murder), part 1 of Art. 222 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition and storage of firearms and ammunition), paragraph “a”, part 3 of Art. 222.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal acquisition, storage, transportation and carrying of explosives and explosive devices), Part 2 of Art. 223.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal manufacture of an explosive device).
The court found that in September 2023, Piskunov entered into a conspiracy with SBU officers. With the aim of killing a serviceman of the Russian Armed Forces — a technician of the regulation and repair group of a technical and operational military unit — he arrived in the city of Dzhankoy, where he made an explosive device. He placed a homemade bomb on the bottom of the victim’s car and detonated it. He was unable to complete his criminal intent because the man was not in the vehicle— reported the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation.
The court also established that Piskunov stored firearms and ammunition.
The court agreed with the opinion of the state prosecutor about Piskunov’s guilt and sentenced him to 14 years in prison to be served in a maximum security penal colony with a fine of 600 thousand rubles.
