In Crimea, a verdict was passed in a criminal case of theft of 14 million rubles during the construction of a sports complex

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, the Kiev District Court of Simferopol issued a verdict in a criminal case against the general director of a limited liability company. He was found guilty under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud committed on an especially large scale).

It was established that in 2021, a contract was concluded between the company headed by the accused and the State Budgetary Institution of the Republic of Crimea “Sports School No. 5” for the construction of a sports and recreation complex in the Simferopol region. The cost of the contract was 211 million rubles.

Having misled the customer, the accused provided certificates of completed work containing false information. Based on these documents, more than 14 million rubles were unjustifiably transferred to the company’s bank account, which the accused disposed of at his own discretion.— reported the Crimean prosecutor’s office.

The illegal actions of the head of the company were stopped by employees of the Russian FSB Directorate for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Partial damage caused by the crime has been compensated.

The court sentenced the man to 3 years of suspended imprisonment with a probationary period for a similar period. The verdict did not enter into legal force.
