In Crimea, the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Kirov region completed an investigation into a criminal case against a 36-year-old local resident accused of illegal activities related to drug trafficking.

In the summer of this year, as a result of a set of operational-search activities, employees of the drug control department discovered and seized bushes of the narcotic plant cannabis (marijuana) at the woman’s place of residence in an outbuilding located in the yard.— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

Accident? Did the wind blow the seeds? A rich harvest excludes any coincidence.

During an inspection of buildings, structures, terrain and vehicles in an outbuilding at the suspect’s place of residence, police found and seized 42 bushes of narcotic plants growing in polymer buckets with soil with signs of cultivation, 5 bushes planted in the local area and 1 polymer bag with parts of plants . According to the expert’s conclusion, the 47 bushes seized from the suspect are hemp plants (of the genus Cannabis), the plucked parts of plants from the bag are also parts of the narcotic plant hemp with a total weight of over 500 grams (in terms of dried substance)the police said.

The woman explained to the police that she grew and stored prohibited plants for personal use (and what else could she do). According to the attacker, she purchased seeds from one of the Internet sites, which she subsequently planted in specially prepared polymer containers with soil, caring for them.

Currently, the materials of the criminal case initiated by the investigative department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Kirov region on the grounds of crimes under Part 2 of Art. 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal possession without the purpose of selling narcotic drugs, committed in a large amount, illegal possession, without the purpose of sale, of plant parts containing narcotic drugs, committed in a significant amount), Part 1 of Art. 231 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (illegal large-scale cultivation of plants containing narcotic substances) was sent to the prosecutor’s office of the Kirov region.
