In Crimea, a young girl was hit by a train. Died

CrimeaPRESS reports:

Yesterday at 20:32 the duty unit of the Crimean Line Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for transport received a message from the dispatcher of the Crimean Railway that on the section of the Bakhchisarai — Lilac stations the driver of the Simferopol — Sevastopol electric train applied emergency braking to avoid a collision with person. The collision could not be avoided; a woman was injured by the train.

An investigative and operational group from the Crimean Regional Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia went to the scene of the incident using transport to establish the circumstances of the incident. Police officers established that an 18-year-old resident of Sevastopol died from her injuries at the scene. During the interview, the train driver said that the girl suddenly ran out onto the railway tracks from behind a building located in the immediate vicinity.

Based on the results of the inspection, the investigative authorities will make a procedural decision. Transport police remind residents and guests of the Republic of Crimea about personal safety measures at transport infrastructure facilities. Use only designated railroad crossings. Do not run across the tracks in front of a moving train. Do not walk under carriages. Do not climb onto the carriages, as the overhead contact line has a voltage of 27,000 volts. Do not use headphones to listen to music while driving along or across railroad tracks. Do not allow children to play near railroad facilities.
