In Crimea, a young man was convicted of murdering an acquaintance

In Crimea, the prosecutor’s office of the Sovetsky district supported the state prosecution in a criminal case against a 23-year-old local resident. He was found guilty under Part 1 of Art. 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (murder).
The court found that on July 7, 2023, the defendant, during a conflict with an acquaintance, stabbed him once in the stomach. The man died from his injuries— said the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea.
The court, taking into account the position of the state prosecutor, sentenced the young man to 7 years in prison to be served in a high-security correctional colony.
