In Crimea, the Kirovsky District Court delivered a verdict in a criminal case against a 45-year-old resident of the Sovetsky District. Based on the evidence presented by the prosecutor’s office, he was found guilty of committing a crime under Part 2 of Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (driving a vehicle by a person in a state of intoxication, having a criminal record for committing a crime under this article in a state of intoxication).

It was established that the driver, having a conviction for driving while intoxicated, was again driving in a state of intoxication — narcotic substances were found in his blood in a significant concentration— reported in the Prosecutor’s Office of the Republic of Crimea.

Taking into account the position of the public prosecutor, the perpetrator was sentenced to imprisonment for a period of 1 year 8 months to be served in a colony-settlement, with deprivation of the right to engage in activities related to driving vehicles for a period of 5 years 1 month.

An important addition: the would-be driver’s VAZ car was confiscated to the state.
