In Crimea, by the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory, they intend to prepare at the highest level

As Sergey Aksyonov emphasized, the victory in the Great Patriotic War is one of the most significant events in the history of Russia. It unites and relates people of all generations and nationalities, is a symbol of the relics of the Fatherland, the will and forces of the spirit of the people, therefore it is required to prepare for the celebration of the 80th anniversary at the highest level.

Our president has already given the main attitudes about what needs to be done, the tasks are set specific. First of all, of course, we are talking about the help and support of veterans — the defenders of our Motherland. We must always be near, help with both a kind word and specific actions. The feat of these people will never be forgotten— called the head of Crimea.

In accordance with the order of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, veterans of the Great Patriotic War living in the Crimea will be awarded the title of honorary citizens of their municipalities.

The head of the republic emphasized that this work should be completed by May 1.

All the names of veterans are well known to us. It is necessary to accelerate the process, lead it without excessive bureaucracy and formalism and complete as early as possible. I ask the heads of administrations to take work under personal control, — the head of the Crimea gave instruction.

Sergei Aksyonov said that in 2025, a one -time payment in Crimea to veterans of the Great Patriotic War, which directly participated in the hostilities, will increase to 400 thousand rubles.

According to the deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea — Minister of Labor and Social Protection of the Republic of Crimea Elena Romanovskaya, presidential payments to veterans in 2025 will be made in April along with pension provision, and republican payments — until May 1 for all categories of veterans of the Great Patriotic War and children of war.

Also, Sergei Aksyonov dwelled on the restoration and care of Victory monuments.

It is clear that preparations for the celebration of the anniversary include bringing the monuments to proper form, but this work should be carried out constantly. Each place of memory must be assigned an official who will be responsible for his condition— said the head of Crimea.

Another assignment of Sergei Aksyonov concerns the installation of the memorable stele “City of Military Glory” in Feodosia. The honorary title was awarded to the city for courage, stamina and mass heroism manifested by its defenders during the war. The head of the administration of the municipality, Igor Tkachenko, must take the question of personal control, work needs to be completed until May 1.

In addition, according to Sergei Aksyonov, increased attention should be paid to patriotic education.

For our youth, the exploits of ancestors should be an unchanged moral guideline, and the memory of victory is a source of spiritual forces and pride in the heroic past of our country. We are obliged to save the memory of our heroes and continue to fight attempts to falsify history— explained the head of the republic.

During the meeting with a welcoming speech, the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov and Deputy Plenipotentiary of the President of the Russian Federation in the Southern Federal District Kirill Stepanov performed. It is noted that the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Victory takes place in a difficult historical time for the country, so it is so important to fill all the events with special meaning and real content. It is necessary to pay a lot of attention and work in educational institutions, to cultivate a patriotic spirit in young people.

Reports on the events planned in the Crimea as part of the celebration of the anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War were presented by the Minister of Education, Science and Youth of the Republic of Crimea Valentina Lavrik, Minister of Internal Policy, Information and Communications of the Republic of Crimea Albert Kurshutov, Minister of Culture of the Republic of Crimea Tatyana Manezhina.

The event was attended by the First Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Tsekov, heads of specialized departments and public organizations.
