In Crimea, by the holiday season they want to complete the repair of coastal structures

The overhaul of coastal structures after the storm of 2023 intends to complete in the Crimea by the beginning of the holiday season — until April 1, 2025. This was announced by the chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Yuri Gotsanyuk.

On November 27, 2023, a powerful storm fell to the south of Russia. Hurricane wind and precipitation led to flooding, interruptions with power supply and problems in the movement of transport. In Crimea, the total amount of damage caused by the infrastructure amounted to about 68 billion rubles.

As part of the liquidation of the consequences of the “Storm of the Century” in the republic, 24 coastal structures are overhaul in the republic in the territories of the urban districts of Alushta and Yalta, as well as in the Nikolaev rural settlement. Set the task to ensure the preparation of these coastal structures for the holiday season until April 1, 2025— he wrote in Telegram channel.

Earlier, the Council of Ministers noted that partially embankments of the Crimea were repaired by the summer season of 2024, after its end, the authorities planned to carry out more difficult work. The head of the region, Sergei Aksenov, reported that about 8.3 billion rubles were allocated to the Republic of Crimea from the federal budget for the repair of the injured and coastal structures from the storm.
