On the night of January 6-7, Christmas services were held in Crimea. In the churches where the All-Night Vigils were held, specialists from the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were on duty, who in the event of an unforeseen situation could quickly organize the evacuation of people. As the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea clarified, before the New Year holidays, employees of the state fire inspection carried out preventive inspections of the places where holiday services were held.
During the New Year and Christmas holidays, units of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations were transferred to an enhanced operating mode. 2,216 people and 813 pieces of equipment are ready to respond from the RSChS of the Republic of Crimea. Thanks to comprehensive preventive work, there were no violations of fire safety measures in Crimean churches and cathedrals. All festive events passed without incident,” noted the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for the Republic of Crimea.
