Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate in Crimea stopped two attempts to give a bribe in one day.

In Yevpatoria, traffic police officers of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the city of Yevpatoria stopped a VAZ-2115 car driven by a 35-year-old local resident to check documents. According to external signs, the driver was driving a vehicle with signs of intoxication. For not bringing him to administrative responsibility, the citizen persistently offered the police a monetary reward in the amount of 4,000 rubles.

The driver was repeatedly informed that his actions were illegal and subject to criminal liability, but he ignored the warning and left the specified amount in the patrol car. For further investigation, an investigative team arrived at the scene and recorded the fact of an attempt to bribe traffic police inspectors— the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea gave details.

The man was removed from driving and asked to undergo a medical examination to determine his state of intoxication, but he refused the lawful request of the police officers. A protocol was drawn up against the driver under Part 2 of Art. 12.26 of the Code of Administrative Offenses (Failure by a driver of a vehicle who does not have the right to drive a vehicle to comply with the legal requirement of an authorized official to undergo a medical examination for intoxication). The vehicle is placed in a specialized parking lot.

In addition, a criminal case has been initiated under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 1 art. 291.2 (Attempted petty bribery). The sanction of the article provides for punishment from a fine to imprisonment for a period of one year.

On the same day, employees of the traffic police department of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Saki”, while on duty on a highway in the Saki region, stopped a bus in which children under seven years of age were transported without special restraints. This served as the basis for initiating administrative proceedings under Article 12.23 of the Code of Administrative Offenses of the Russian Federation “Violation of the rules for transporting people,” which provides for punishment in the form of a fine.

In the office of the State Traffic Inspectorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Saksky”, the director of a private transport enterprise from Yevpatoria offered 5 thousand rubles for not bringing her to administrative responsibility as an official. The police explained to the woman that her actions were illegal and subject to criminal liability, but she ignored them.

A criminal case has been initiated under Part 1 of Art. 291.2 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Petty bribery”. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to one year. A preventive measure in the form of a recognizance not to leave the place was chosen in relation to the previously unconvicted woman.— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
