The Krasnoperekopsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea prosecuted three residents of the city of Krasnoperekopsk and one resident of the city of Armyansk for illegal storage and transportation for the purpose of marketing and marketing of products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, committed by a group of persons by prior conspiracy.
During an unspecified period, but no later than March 13, 2019, in the city of Krasnoperekopsk of the Republic of Crimea, one of the group of persons had a criminal intent aimed at transportation and storage for the purpose of marketing, as well as the sale of products that do not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers. After that, in pursuance of criminal intent, he invited other persons to participate in this criminal activity, to which they agreed and, according to the distribution of roles in a jointly committed crime, invested money in the purchase of alcohol-containing products that did not meet the requirements for the safety of life and health of consumers, while one of the group of persons carried out its acquisition and subsequent transportation to the city of Krasnoperekopsk of the Republic of Crimea, where other members of the group of persons sold the indicated products, under the guise of alcohol, to an unlimited circle of persons at retail— reported the press service of the court.
According to the conclusions of experts, the ingestion of this alcohol-containing liquid as an alcoholic beverage can lead to both harm to health (from mild to severe) and death, respectively.
At the hearing, the defendants did not admit guilt in committing the crime they were accused of, from giving explanations in accordance with Art. 51 of the Constitution of the Russian Federation refused.
Taking into account the mitigating circumstances and the absence of aggravating circumstances, the defendants were given a sentence of 1 year 6 months to 2 years 6 months probation with a probationary period of 2 to 3 years.
The verdict has not entered into force.
