In Crimea, from June to September, public transport is 8 rubles cheaper, but when paying with a smartphone

CrimeaPRESS reports:

The action of the Mir payment system is valid in the Crimea and Sevastopol.

From June 1, each trip in public transport in Crimea and Sevastopol using the Mir card loaded into a smartphone will cost 8 rubles less. The offer of the Russian payment system is valid for four months — until September 30, 2023.

To take advantage of the discount, the Mir card must first be downloaded to an Android-based smartphone through one of the mobile payment services — Mir Pay or Samsung Pay. In this case, the smartphone must support the contactless payment function (NFC function).

The promotion applies to trips on buses, trolleybuses and trams equipped with terminals for contactless fare payment and participating in the promotion. In addition, a discount is provided when paying for travel on boats in Sevastopol «Count Pier — Severnaya», «Radiogorka — Artillery Bay» and «Grafskaya Pier — Troitskaya»— specified in the Ministry of Transport of the Crimea.

You can find out how to connect your Mir card to mobile Pay-services on the website mironline.ru or by contacting the bank that issued the card.

One-touch fare payment is convenient, safe and profitable. For the convenience of passengers, large Crimean carriers have joined the project and are actively working in all cities and regions of the Republic of Crimea— said the Minister of Transport of the Republic of Crimea Nikolai Lukashenko.

The full rules of the promotion and the list of routes participating in the promotion can be found on the website www.privetmir.ru and in the mobile application «Hello, World!».
