In Crimea, «Honorary Donors of Russia» — more than 6 thousand people

Donation is an act of humanity that saves life. To date, the total number of owners of this status on the peninsula exceeded 6 thousand people, ”said Gotsanyuk.

To obtain the title, it is necessary to donate whole blood at least 40 times, or plasma 60 times, or their combination in various ratios.

In accordance with the legislation, “Honorary Donors of Russia” have the right to a number of social support measures. In particular, they can count on an annual monetary payment of 18,747.77 rubles, as well as on the extraordinary provision of medical care in institutions of the state and municipal health systems.

In addition, they are given the opportunity to take annual paid leave at a convenient time of the year and priority to purchase preferential trips for sanatorium-resort treatment at the place of work or study.

Yuri Gotsanyuk added:

Today, blood service institutions in Crimea are equipped with modern equipment, and we continue to improve approaches to transfusiological assistance in order to ensure maximum comfort and safety for donors.
