In Crimea in August the share of daily apartment bookings was 3%

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In August 2024, Russians plan to spend an average of 7 nights in Crimea during their trip, and renting an apartment during the trip will cost 4,200 rubles per day.

Avito Travel has studied which destinations for August are most actively booked by Russians, highlighting the top 10 cities and regions of the country.

Among the cities The largest number of bookings for August were noted in St. Petersburg — almost every fourth traveler in Russia plans to go to the Northern capital (share of all bookings: 24%). The top 10 also included Moscow (share: 10%), Sochi (9%), Kazan (5%) and other cities. More details are in Table 1.

The longest trips in August are also planned by travelers to the Northern capital: on average, each property in St. Petersburg is booked for August for 10 nights, in Moscow — for 8 nights, in Sochi — for 7 nights, in Kaliningrad — for 6 nights. In other cities from the top 10 in popularity, tourists plan to stay for 3 days or less. More details are in Table 1.

Of the cities ranked by the most popular bookings on Avito Travel in August, the most affordable accommodations are chosen by those wishing to travel to Krasnodar (3,100 rubles per night), Novosibirsk (3,500 rubles), Kaliningrad and Yekaterinburg (3,600 rubles), and Volgograd (3,800 rubles). The most expensive properties for August are booked by travelers to Moscow (10,700 rubles), St. Petersburg (10,100 rubles), Sochi (6,000 rubles), Nizhny Novgorod (5,000 rubles), and Kazan (4,700 rubles).

In August, daily apartments on Avito Travel were booked more than 210 thousand times, but this is not the final data. According to surveys, 17% of Russians prefer to book housing less than two weeks in advance, 11% — upon arrival, and 4% — the same day. However, popular destinations are filled faster during the peak season, which allows us to focus on this data and talk about the popularity of destinations. As for prices, it is important to consider what kind of properties Russians book. For example, in St. Petersburg and Moscow, this is spacious housing, which on average can accommodate six people, which justifies the high price of more than 10,000 rubles per night.— commented Artem Kromochkin, head of the Avito Travel department.

Among the regions The most popular region by number of bookings in August was Krasnodar Krai (share of all bookings: 18%). Also in the top 10 were Tatarstan and Kaliningrad Oblast (6% each), Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Crimea and Stavropol Krai (3% each). Other regions of the rating are presented in Table 2.
