In Crimea, more than two hundred thousand people consider themselves small businesses

First Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation Andrei Belousov held a conference call with the regions of the Russian Federation on issues of supporting small businesses.
According to information from the Republican Council of Ministers, today there are about 201.2 thousand small and medium-sized businesses and self-employed citizens operating in Crimea. Compared to the same period last year, the figures increased by 29.8%.
One of the “signs of the times” (trends of the year): some SMEs have become self-employed, the number of which in the Republic as of October 1, 2023 exceeded 119.4 thousand people. (an increase of 66.1%).
There is also an increase in the number of people employed in small and medium-sized businesses.
In the Republic of Crimea, there was an increase in the number of people employed in the field of small and medium-sized businesses, including individual entrepreneurs; in fact, as of October 10, 2023, we employed 370 thousand people, which is 14.7% higher than in January of this year— informed Deputy Prime Minister — Minister of Finance of the Republic of Crimea Irina Kiviko.
