In Crimea, naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet learned to shoot down drones

Naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet conducted exercises in the Crimea. One of the elements was the reflection of the attack of unmanned aerial vehicles. This was reported in the press service of the Southern Military District.

To conduct an inspection and readiness of the on-duty air defense forces of the Crimean Peninsula with the crews of naval aviation and air defense of the Black Sea Fleet, as well as with divisions of anti-aircraft missile systems C- 400, crews of missile and gun systems «Pantsir-S» conducted training in areas of responsibility. During the event, issues of detection and tracking of aircraft were worked out, including at ultra-low altitudes , the message says.

The exercises involved anti-aircraft missile and radio engineering units of the Air Force and Air Defense of the Southern Military District. Su-24MR reconnaissance aircraft, Su- and Su-30SM multipurpose fighters were involved, as well as combat crews of the S-400 «Triumph» and «Pantsir-S» complexes from the Air Force and Air Defense formation of the Southern Military District.
