The event dedicated to the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of Deportation from Crimea was held on the territory of the Memorial Complex to the Victims of Deportation “The Path to the Revival of the Peoples of Crimea” in the village of Siren, Bakhchisaray District. Those present honored the memory of the victims of deportation with a minute of silence, then laid flowers at the Monument to the Memory of Deported Peoples.
According to the Head of Crimea Sergei Aksenov, the Decree of President Vladimir Putin “On measures for the rehabilitation of the Armenian, Bulgarian, Greek, Italian, Crimean Tatar and German peoples and state support for their revival and development” was the restoration of historical justice.
May 18, 1944 is a sad date in our history. ABOUT a common tragedy and common pain that unites all Crimeans. In our country, the deportation of peoples has been given a clear assessment — this is a crime for which there is no justification.
