In Crimea, police stopped the sale of more than half a kilogram of drugs

In Crimea, police detained a 35-year-old man suspected of drug trafficking at his place of residence in a rented apartment in Yalta. During an inspection of the intruder’s home, law enforcement officers found 294 packages with an unknown substance under his bed and seized them. According to the expert’s conclusion, the contents are amphetamine weighing more than 533 grams and marijuana weighing more than 38 grams.
The detainee admitted his guilt and explained that he intended to sell prohibited substances in a non-contact manner through hiding places in the cities of Yalta and Sevastopol. In relation to the suspect, the investigation of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Yalta opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The court chose a preventive measure in the form of detention for the defendant.
