In Crimea, preventive raids are being carried out in houses with stove heating. The next one took place in the Simferopol region. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations checked compliance with fire safety requirements in non-gas-free settlements. Particular attention was paid to risk groups: large families, people with limited mobility and pensioners.

The head of the department of supervisory activities and preventive work in the Simferopol region, Ivan Lukyanenko, held conversations with residents of the village of Klinovka. He paid attention to the basic rules for operating the stoves, checked their functionality and compliance with all safety requirements. Employees of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations distributed leaflets with the rules and telephone numbers of emergency services. Preventive measures are designed to prevent a seasonal increase in the number of fires in the residential sector.

Simple rules can keep your home safe during cold weather. In order to avoid coal getting on the flammable floor finish, install a pre-furnace sheet on the floor in front of the stove firebox. To avoid overheating the stove, heat it moderately, several times a day. Check the serviceability of the stove and chimney in advance. Remember that the stove masonry must be free of cracks and crevices, and there must be good draft in the chimney. Avoid using flammable liquids when lighting a stove and do not leave a burning stove unattended.,” Crimean rescuers note.

Alarms and reminders are not unnecessary. In Crimea, since the beginning of the year, as a result of violation of fire safety rules during the operation of furnaces, 55 fires occurred, in which 2 people were injured.
