In Crimea, the acceptance of applications for the Art Resort landscape installation competition has been extended until mid-October

In Crimea, the acceptance of applications for the first stage of the Art Resort landscape installation competition has been extended until October 15. This is reported by Tourist portal of Crimea. Young architects, artists, designers and sculptors who have created works inspired by the nature and history of the peninsula can express their ideas and receive a reward.

According to the organizers, the first landscape installation competition in the history of Crimea “Art Resort”, which is being implemented with grant support from the Presidential Fund for Cultural Initiatives (PFCI), will be hosted by Koktebel.

Young professionals and students of creative specialties can take part in the competition: future architects, designers, sculptures and artists aged 18 to 35 from anywhere in the world. To do this, by October 15, they, individually or as a team, must submit their application with a graphic sheet of the project.

You can show your creative ideas in six categories:

• Entrance group and pedestrian area;
• Architectural lighting of public spaces;
• Functional form: recreation area, shadow areas, play areas;
• Fountains: functional forms using water;
• Photo zone. Composition integrated into the landscape of the site;
• Celestial (wind) architecture.

All works must comply with modern trends in architecture: be easy and simple to assemble, be predominantly made from eco-friendly materials, promote the local identity of resort areas, and meet safety requirements, the competition organizers emphasize.

The final will include 15 projects, 3 from each nomination. The second stage will be the implementation of the plan in an open space — at the “Sea” site in Koktebel. Participants will be provided with accommodation, meals and transportation to the competition site. In addition, each finalist will be given building materials, tools and laborers to create a future installation.

The only nomination that will be held exclusively online is “Fountains”.

The winners in each category will receive a cash reward.

The award ceremony for the winners of the Art Resort competition will take place on November 19 in Koktebel. The organizers note that some installations will decorate the territory of the resort village, and the competition itself will give an additional impetus to the development of creative events in Koktebel.
