In Crimea, the court punished the elusive car lady: she drove for 6 (!) Years with a fake driver's license
CrimeaPRESS reports:
The Kirovsky District Court of the Republic of Crimea found a resident of the Dzhankoy District guilty and sentenced her to a restriction of freedom for a period of 6 months.
The court found that in the fall of 2016, the defendant, via the Internet, purchased a fake driver’s license of a citizen of the Russian Federation for 27,500 rubles, granting the right to drive a motor vehicle. The certificate was mailed to her. In March 2023, the autolady was stopped by traffic police inspectors of the traffic police of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Kirovsky district. After presenting a driver’s license to traffic police officers, it aroused suspicion. When checking on the traffic police database, it turned out that the driver’s license was issued in the name of a man. Thus, the violator committed the use of a deliberately fake driver’s license, granting the right to drive a vehicle— noted in the press service of the court.
The defendant pleaded guilty to the crime charged against her. The verdict did not enter into force.
