In Crimea, the equipment of 368 transformer stations requires replacement

The replacement of 50 transformer substations will be included in the work plan of the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea «Krymenergo» in the first quarter of 2025. The Head of the Republic of Crimea announced this. Sergei Aksyonov reported that in the republic there is an urgent need to replace equipment at 368 transformer substations.
The schedule for these works on the facilities will be formed before November 1, based on an analysis of citizens’ complaints about the quality of supplied electricity and the number of subscribers connected to a particular TP. At the same time, for the first quarter of 2025, the Krymenergo enterprise plans to replace 50 transformer substations; additional funds will be allocated from the republican budget for these purposes, – noted Sergey Aksenov.
According to Krymenergo General Director Maxim Shklyarsky, the replacement of 150 substations this year has had an effect — the supply of electricity is stable, within standard parameters.
Maxim Shklyarsky also reported that in the republic there are about 1,300 apartment buildings equipped with electric stoves, some of the houses are not connected to central heating. Residents of such apartment buildings will be transferred to a reduced tariff in the near future.
Sergei Aksyonov instructed the heads of administrations to assist in issuing, by October 15, citizens the necessary certificates to submit to the State Unitary Enterprise of the Republic of Crimea “Krymenergo” when assigning a preferential tariff for paying for electricity.
In conclusion, Maxim Shklyarsky reported that work on technological connection to networks is proceeding according to schedule, about 550 subscribers are connected weekly.
