CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, a criminal investigation has been completed against the former head of the administration of the Uyutnensky rural settlement of the Saki region. He is accused of exceeding official powers causing grave consequences (clause “c” of Part 3 of Article 286 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). The Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases established that from 2016 to 2019, the current head of the government at that time, in the absence of legal grounds, signed 79 resolutions on the lease to citizens of land plots for housing construction worth 52 million rubles.

Subsequently, citizens illegally registered ownership rights for 53 plots, the lands were alienated from the municipality, and damage to the budget of the Uyutnensky rural settlement was caused in the amount of 34 million rubles.

The illegal activities of an official were revealed during the activities by employees of the Economic Security and Internal Affairs Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in the Republic of Crimea. During the investigation, the defendant’s residential premises, land plots and vehicles were seized. Measures have been taken to cancel the illegal registration of land plots and return them to the owner— reported in Sledkom.

The criminal investigation has now been completed. The materials were sent to the prosecutor’s office for study, approval of the indictment and further referral of the case to court.
