Two criminal cases have been instituted — on the desecration of graves and the destruction of military graves.

On this fact, the Department of Inquiry of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Nizhnyursky district opened a criminal case under part 1 of Art. 244 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of the bodies of the dead and places of their burial). Currently, police officers are taking measures to establish all the circumstances of the incident, as well as persons suspected of committing a crime— said the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

In addition, as informed to reporters in the press service of the Investigative Department of the IC of the Russian Federation for the Crimea and Sevastopol, another criminal case has been instituted.

On behalf of the acting head of the Main Investigation Department of the Rossi of the Russian Federation in the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol Yevgeny Rudnev, a criminal case was opened on the fact of damage to the military burial— the message says.

Reference: Fedorchak was born in the Crimea, graduated from the Faculty of Journalism, after which he worked in the Crimean information agency, and then on the Crimea-24 channel. Since 2022 he was a correspondent of the Zvezda television channel, later — Izvestia in the zone of a special operation, where he covered events on the front line. The funeral of Fedorchak took place in the native village of Nizhnyursky in the northeast of Crimea with military honors.
