In Crimea, the illegal migration channel was blocked. The prosecutor's office talks about the criminal “scheme”
CrimeaPRESS reports:
In Crimea, residents of the region accused of organizing illegal migration will appear in court. 10 people (!), depending on the role and degree of participation, are accused under paragraph “a” of Part 2 of Art. 322.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (organization of illegal migration), Art. 322.3 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fictitious registration of foreign citizens at the place of stay in the Russian Federation).
According to the investigation, the accused agreed on joint activities to organize illegal migration. For this purpose, from 2021, they received information about foreign citizens who, having arrived on the territory of the Russian Federation, in order to formally comply with the requirements of the law, wanted to notify the migration control authorities about their place of stay .
Further, the accused submitted to the departments of the internal affairs bodies notification forms for the arrival of foreigners, containing false information about their residence in the region, in addition, they provided foreigners with work, for which the latter received money, as well as places of residence in the region— the prosecutor’s office of the Republic of Crimea uncovered a criminal “scheme”.
In this way, 30 citizens of foreign countries were fictitiously registered. The illegal actions of the accused were identified and suppressed by officers of the Russian Federal Security Service for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol.
With the approved indictment, the criminal case was sent to the Yevpatoriya City Court for consideration on the merits.
