In Crimea — the international action «Garden of Memory»

Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea Mikhail Nazarov took part in the international action «Garden of Memory» in the city square named after Taras Shevchenko in Kerch. During the event, 80 red-leafed poplars and a seedlings-Clon of the famous poplar of Victory in honor of the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the Great Victory and the liberation of the city from the fascist invaders were landed.
The poplar of Victory is a clone of a tree — a long -liver who survived the Battle of Stalingrad. Having survived the terrible war years, the tree has become a symbol of life, a legendary living monument. I thank everyone who took part in the action,-said Deputy Prime Minister.
Representatives of the Ministry of Ecology and Natural Resources of the Republic of Crimea, the city administration, deputies, “Victory Volunteers” and local residents also took part in the action.
The international action «Garden of Memory» has been held since 2020 at the initiative of ANO «Garden of Memory», the All -Russian public movement «Volunteers of Victory» and the Victory Commissioning Fund. Its main goal is the annual landing of 27 million trees in memory of each dead during the Great Patriotic War.
