In Crimea-the International Scientific and Diplomatic Congress dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Yalta Conference

The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergei Aksyonov, took part in the work of the International Scientific and Disclomatic Congress, dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Yalta (Crimean) conference of the heads of allied powers of the anti-Hitler coalition.
Before the grand opening of the event, Sergei Aksyonov, together with the chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea Vladimir Konstantinov and the director of the Department of International Organizations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, Kirill Logvinov, examined the exhibition of rare archival documents “Russian peacefulness from the“ Holy Union to the UN ”. Next, a ceremony of dedicating card dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Yalta Conference was held.
During his speech, Sergei Aksyonov welcomed the participants in the scientific and dibrax of congress, emphasizing the importance of taking such events.
We understand that in conditions of a difficult international situation, such meetings are important than ever. Today, our communication takes place in the format of folk diplomacy with the minimum participation of officials and a large number of caring people, public figures, politicians, scientists who cannot remain aloof, simply observing what is happening in the world. Here are those who want to contribute to maintaining stability and peace. I am sure that the participants of the Congress will be able to find certain solutions, develop methods, tactics and strategies to achieve universal mutual respect and understanding— said the head of Crimea.
Sergei Aksyonov noted that Crimea is still in the epicenter of history.
It will not be an exaggeration to say that all the most important geopolitical changes that have occurred in the world over the past eleven years are somehow related to the reunification of Crimea with Russia. It became possible thanks to the firm decision of the Crimeans with their homeland and, of course, with the support of President Vladimir Vladimirovich Putin and the entire Russian people. Thanks to all the friends of Crimea for the position, support of Russia and our leader. It is very important that the international community can hear different points of view, advocate respect for each other, to the culture, traditions and customs of each other. Only together, only in creation can you build a happy future for our children and all future generations— the head of the republic expressed his opinion.
In addition, Sergei Aksyonov thanked the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia and all the organizers of the Congress for the preparation of a large -scale event, and also wished the participants in fruitful work, focusing the readiness of Crimea to provide sites for such meetings in the future.
As part of the event, greetings of the Chairman of the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Valentina Matvienko, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov, chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation Vyacheslav Volodin, the head of the Federal Agency for the Commonwealth of Independent States, compatriots living abroad, and on international humanitarian cooperation between Eugene, were announced Primakova.
Congress participants discussed the topic of relevant geopolitical challenges in the era of global changes, the issue of establishing dialogue and cooperation of the leading world powers, the role of Russia in the formation of a new world order.
The event was attended by a senator from the Republic of Crimea Sergey Karyakin, deputy chairman of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Crimea, a regular representative of the Republic of Crimea under the President of the Russian Federation Georgy Muradov, Deputy Governor of the city of Sevastopol, Maria Litovko, others.

The event attracted more than 100 statesmen, politicians, historians, heads of academic scientific institutes, as well as representatives of foreign expert circles and the foreign community, including from the UK, China, the USA and France.
