In Crimea, the Investigative Committee and the Prosecutor's Office are investigating a mass poisoning at a children's camp

At the request of the Prosecutor of the Republic of Crimea Oleg Kamshilov, an investigation is underway into information posted on social networks about the illness of children staying in one of the children’s health camps in Yevpatoria.

During the organized supervisory activities with the involvement of specialists, an assessment will be made of the compliance with the requirements of the legislation when organizing children’s recreation. The progress and results of the inspection are under the control of the Crimean prosecutor’s officethe supervisory authority reported.

The Investigative Committee is also looking into this story. Moreover, the case is «under Moscow’s control.»

The Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia, Alexander Bastrykin, instructed the head of the Main Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol, Vladimir Terentyev, to present a report on the progress of the pre-investigation check and the established circumstances.

The media reported that at least 19 children at a children’s camp in Yevpatoria felt unwell and sought medical help. According to preliminary data, the cause of the deterioration of the condition was rotavirus. The children are receiving the necessary medical care– the Investigative Committee reported.

As previously reported by the Telegram channel «Shot Check»all the children had the same symptoms: headaches, stomach pains and nausea. According to the online publication, Rospotrebnadzor has launched an investigation, but so far no violations have been found in the camp.
