In Crimea, the Investigative Committee is investigating a number of criminal cases against accomplices of the Ukrainian special services

They are accused of attempting to kill officials and civilians on the territory of the Republic.

Investigators of the Directorate for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases of the Main Investigative Directorate of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol are investigating criminal cases against accomplices of the Ukrainian special services accused of attempted murders of citizens.

A 39-year-old native of Vinnytsia region was charged with attempted murder of three persons in a generally dangerous manner and illegal trafficking in explosives (part 3 of article 30, paragraph “a, e”, part 2 of article 105, article 222.1, article 223.1 Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It was established that in the early morning of June 19, a man, on instructions from the SBU curator, while driving a Toyota Land Cruiser along the Yevpatoria Highway, activated an explosive device that he had previously made himself. As a result of sabotage, three officials of the military-civil administration of the Zaporozhye region who were in the foreign car were seriously injured, they were provided with timely medical assistance— reported in Sledkom.

Two residents of Feodosia, who are citizens of Ukraine, are currently also charged by the investigation with attempted murder of three persons in a generally dangerous manner (Part 3 of Article 30, paragraphs “a, e”, Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). It was established that on July 12, near the entrance of an apartment building on Zemskaya Street in Feodosia, they detonated an explosive device mounted on a moped in order to cause damage to a local resident. As a result of the sabotage, three women passing by received injuries in the form of shrapnel wounds.

A resident of the Czech Republic, who lived for some time in Simferopol, is charged with attempted murder in a generally dangerous manner, which was being prepared against a serviceman (part 3 of article 30, paragraph “a, e”, part 2 of article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). On the afternoon of September 23, an SBU agent near an apartment building on Sadovaya Street in the city of Dzhankoy activated an improvised explosive device that he had planted under a Chevrolet Aveo car. However, the attacker was unable to complete his criminal intent to kill due to circumstances beyond his control.

The accomplices of the Ukrainian special services were identified and detained during special events by the criminal investigation department of the Russian Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Republic of Crimea and the Federal Security Service of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol. Currently, all the accused are in custody, confessing and cooperating with the investigative authorities.,” the Sledkom clarified.

During searches conducted at the places of residence and work of the detainees, weapons, items used to create explosive devices, explosives, a control panel, electronic media and mobile phones containing correspondence with curators from the SBU were discovered and confiscated.

In cooperation with the operational services, other illegal facts of the accused and persons from among their accomplices are established.
