In Crimea, the number of elderly citizens and disabled people covered by long-term care will grow to 6 thousand

By 2036, the Republic of Crimea plans to increase the number of elderly citizens and disabled people covered by long-term home care to 6 thousand. This was announced by the Head of the Republic of Crimea. It is noted that the figure of 6 thousand people receiving long-term care should be reached in 2030 in accordance with the Development Program of the Republic of Crimea until 2036. As Sergei Aksyonov specified, by the end of 2023, 900 people received such services, by April 2024 — 930 people.
Among the main tasks of the Government of the Republic of Crimea in this area is the assessment of the need for long-term care services and care assistants, as well as the search for candidates for these positions, their training, – notes the Head of Crimea.
In addition, Sergey Aksyonov informed that by 2036, the poverty level in the republic is planned to be reduced to 5%. Today, the figure is 13.8%. At the same time, the poverty level of large families in 2036 is planned to be reduced to 8%.
The head of the republic emphasized that reducing the poverty level is one of the key priorities of the Crimean authorities.
The solution to these problems is directly related to the further development of the economy, the creation of favorable conditions for business development, attracting investment, promoting self-employment, supporting individual entrepreneurial initiative, and improving the social contract system. – notes the Head of Crimea.
