In Crimea, the police blocked the interregional drug supply channel

As a result of operational search activities, employees of the drug control department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea, together with employees of the Separate company of the traffic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Leninsky district, detained a 51-year-old resident of one of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation. The police stopped the alleged attacker’s vehicle at the entrance to one of the villages in the region.
When examining the car under the rear passenger seat, in polymer bags, police found a gray-green plant substance, which, according to the results of the study, was recognized as a narcotic drug — cannabis (marijuana), with a total weight of more than 1 kilogram— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
In connection with this fact, a criminal case was initiated on the grounds of a crime provided for in Part 2 of Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of three to ten years. Currently, the man is detained in accordance with Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation. The preliminary investigation into the criminal case continues.
