In Crimea, the police blocked the supply channel for a large shipment of cannabis

A particularly serious crime related to drug trafficking on a large scale has been suppressed in Crimea. This was reported by the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
During an inspection at the place of residence of a 41-year-old Feodosia resident, police officers discovered and seized a prohibited substance, which, according to the expert opinion, is a narcotic drug of plant origin, cannabis (marijuana), with a total weight of 3.6 kg. Investigators also found and seized scales, packaging material and a vacuum sealer. Thanks to the measures taken by the police, it was possible to avoid more than 7.3 thousand doses of the drug from falling into illegal circulationthe message says.
The Investigation Department of the Department of Internal Affairs in Feodosia opened a criminal case on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Art. 30, part 4 art. 228.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“attempted sale of narcotic drugs on a large scale”). The sanction of the article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for a term of up to 20 years. Currently, the man is detained in accordance with Art. 91 Code of Criminal Procedure of the Russian Federation.
