In Crimea, the police sorted out the “murky story” with a certain public joint-stock company and departmental apartments according to the law

CrimeaPRESS reports:

In Crimea, police officers have stopped the activities of a criminal group. It is reported that suspects have been detained for attempts to illegally seize apartments of one of the public joint-stock companies. Six citizens aged 37 to 56 years old took part in the criminal activity.

It was established that from 2013 to 2015, the 37-year-old suspect was the head of the housing and utilities department of a public joint-stock company, having access to information about real estate objects, namely residential and non-residential premises on the balance sheet of the enterprise, she entered into fictitious social rental agreements for apartments located in the cities of Simferopol and Saki.

A group of individuals forged sales contracts on behalf of the deceased director of the enterprise to manage and fully dispose of real estate at their own discretion and issued notarized powers of attorney to carry out legally significant actions. After which they attempted to register and obtain title documents in their own name— the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea reported.

The three suspects actually lived in apartments owned and on the balance sheet of the enterprise, based on fictitious residential lease agreements. Police officers established that the costs of utilities for maintaining the apartments were paid from the budget of the same enterprise.

As a result of operational search activities at the place of residence of one of the defendants, title documents for 45 real estate properties, including those belonging to a public joint-stock company, were discovered and seized.

A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 3 of Article 30 (preparation for a crime and attempted crime) and Part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (fraud). The article provides for a maximum penalty of imprisonment for up to six years. The suspects have been given a preventive measure in the form of a ban on certain actions.
