In Crimea, the results of the traffic police preventive measure “Drunk Driver” were summed up

From February 9 to 11 and from February 22 to 25, an operational and preventive event under the code name “Drunk Driver” was carried out in Crimea. The raids were carried out in order to reduce the accident rate and prevent road accidents involving intoxicated drivers.

During the training, 210 cases of driving while intoxicated or refusing a medical examination were suppressed— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.

20 drivers were detained for driving a vehicle with signs of intoxication again, for which criminal liability is provided in accordance with Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds:

Driving a vehicle while intoxicated entails an administrative penalty — a fine of 30,000 rubles, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years; if this administrative offense is repeated within a year, criminal liability arises under Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
