In Crimea, the State Traffic Inspectorate will conduct Operation Safe Truck

In order to prevent accidents in freight transport among legal entities and individual entrepreneurs, the “Safe Truck” event will be held in Crimea from February 19 to 22. This was reported to the traffic police.
During this period, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will carry out enhanced monitoring of compliance with road safety requirements by drivers of cargo vehicles, including compliance with the rules for transporting large, heavy and dangerous goods, speed limits, work and rest regimes.
Employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate will check the presence and serviceability of tachographs in vehicles, and drivers have the presence and use of cards, compliance of changes made to the design of the vehicle (installation of extension sides, additional fuel tanks without the permission of the State Traffic Inspectorate) and the technical condition of vehicles with the requirements, availability in full prepared waybills with notes from a medical worker and mechanic, shipping documents.
When identifying cargo vehicles operated with illegal changes made to their design, State Traffic Inspectorate employees, in addition to drawing up administrative materials regarding drivers, will also issue demands to stop illegal actions, in accordance with paragraph 10 of Art. 13 Federal Law No. 3-FZ “On Police”— reported the traffic police.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds drivers and managers of motor transport enterprises transporting goods to strictly comply with the requirements of the Russian Federation Traffic Regulations, as well as to ensure that the technical condition of vehicles meets road safety requirements and to prevent vehicles from being used if they have faults that threaten road safety.
