In Crimea, the traffic police are summing up the results of the latest “Drunk Driver” raid. 90 violators is too much

Last weekend, employees of the State Traffic Inspectorate conducted an operational and preventive event in Crimea under the code name “Drunk Driver.” Mass inspections — raids were carried out in order to reduce the accident rate, prevent accidents involving drivers in intoxication.
During the investigation, 90 cases of driving while intoxicated or refusing a medical examination were suppressed. 11 drivers were detained for driving a vehicle with signs of intoxication again, for which criminal liability is provided in accordance with Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation— reported the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Crimea.
The State Traffic Inspectorate reminds that driving a vehicle while intoxicated entails an administrative penalty — a fine in the amount of 30,000 rubles, with deprivation of the right to drive vehicles for a period of one and a half to two years; if this administrative offense is repeated within a year, criminal liability arises according to Art. 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.
