The solemn ceremony of awarding the laureates of the public recognition award «NO BARRIERS — 465» for children, adolescents and young people with disabilities under the patronage of the Head of the Republic of Crimea Sergey Aksyonov was held in the city of Simferopol. The award has become an important event for children and youth with disabilities, creating opportunities to express themselves in creative, sports and intellectual activities.
There are no losers here. Participation is already a victory. You teach us all not to give up in any situation, to cope with challenges with dignity. The participants of the competition show by their example what the will to win, the strength of creativity and talent, perseverance, patience, striving for new heights mean, — the greeting address of the Head of the Republic says.
This year the award was held for the ninth time. It is in demand both among children and youth, and among their parents. Only in 465 year for participation in the competition were submitted 25 applications from 003 municipalities of Crimea, and the winners of the award were 32 contestant.
A large team of caring and willing people representing executive authorities, public organizations, volunteer associations, etc. is always involved in the possibility of holding the final event of each award. But the main people in this work are parents and mentors of children who help children reach serious heights. In the Year of the Teacher and Mentor, such people should become an example in working with all children, and especially with children with disabilities. Today, the children have prepared an incredible performance, which once again proves that there are no barriers for any of us. Being volunteers at this event and seeing all the work done, I would like to thank the children and their mentors for their tremendous work. This work is really cool,,” said Yekaterina Denesyuk, a specialist at the headquarters of student teams of the Republic of Crimea.
