In Crimea, there is an increase in the volume of support for enterprise exports

The volume of export support for Crimean enterprises in 2023 increased thanks to state and regional support measures, reported TASS Minister of Economic Development of the Republic of Crimea Dmitry Sheryako.

A number of state institutions to support small and medium-sized businesses have been created and operate in the republic. One of them is the Southern Regional Export Support Center, which offers search for a market and a foreign buyer, free participation in major world exhibitions, business missions, and placement on an electronic trading platform— said Dmitry Sheryako.

According to him, support activities are implemented within the framework of the national projects “Small and Medium Enterprises” and “International Cooperation and Export.” The entrepreneur is helped with an export transaction: a customs broker is provided, negotiations are supported, and assistance is provided in drawing up an export contract.

It can be noted that they give a positive effect“, the minister added.

He said that in 2023, entrepreneurs in the region concluded 20 contracts worth $9.9 million. The volume of supported exports in 2023 increased by $1.74 million compared to 2022. In 2024, in terms of the volume of supported exports, it is planned to achieve no less results than in 2023.

Earlier, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, during a speech with a report in the State Duma statedthat the West’s attempts to arrange a trade blockade for Russia failed: Moscow significantly increased trade turnover with friendly countries, replacing the lost volumes. He called expanding ties with promising partners from friendly countries one of Russia’s priorities.

Export structure

According to Dmitry Sheryako, the structure of exports from Crimea includes: grains and legumes, cosmetics, grape seed oil, canned vegetables, confectionery, wine, cable products, clothing, fur and leather products, welding machines and more.

Among the new types of products that are of interest to foreign partners: dairy products, cheeses, sugar-free chocolate, glazed walnuts. All this can be supplied by Crimean producerssays the minister.

He said that supplies from the republic are carried out to 17 countries of the world. Among them: China, Kazakhstan, Belarus, Turkey, Uzbekistan, UAE, Ecuador, Abkhazia and others.
