The head of the Republic of Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, held a working meeting with the General Director of the Russian Ecological Operator, Denis Butsaev. The topic of conversation was the creation of ecotechnoparks in the Crimea.
The construction of enterprises for the processing and disposal of solid municipal waste in the territory of the republic is carried out on behalf of the President. We do everything to make Crimea an environmentally friendly tourist region. Construction is expected to be completed by mid-2024. Work at the facilities is underway, the number of people and equipment is sufficient today. All issues are resolved as soon as possible. I am confident that we will achieve our goals on timeAksenov said.
Denis Butsaev noted the participation of the Crimean leadership in the implementation of these projects.
These ecotechnoparks are a global and large-scale project that will allow the region to significantly outpace the implementation of the federal project indicators. Work with waste will allow developing the production of new products from the resulting recyclable materials, which can be supplied both to the Russian market and used in the Crimea— emphasized the general director of the PIC «Russian Ecological Operator».
In addition, Denis Butsaev stressed that in the Republic of Crimea, in particular in preschool and school educational institutions, active work is underway to promote a new systemic waste management.
Also today, Crimean Prime Minister Yuriy Gotsanyuk and the head of the Russian Ecological Operator company inspected the construction of an ecotechnopark in the Belogorsk district with a capacity of 500,000 tons per year.
Work continues on backfilling the pit and arranging concrete preparation for the waste sorting complex, arranging concrete preparation for the chimney of the boiler house, and developing the pit for the emergency fuel dump tank for the container filling station. Completion of works is planned for 2024— said Yuri Gotsanyuk.
According to the Prime Minister of Crimea, the work of ecotechnoparks will allow reaching 100% of waste processing and sorting and recycling of waste to almost 62% in 2025.
