In Crimea, they intend to form hockey teams and figure skating

The branches of the sports school of winter sports «Heritage» in Simferopol, Kerch and the Saksky district are dynamically developing. Experts note that the level of young athletes is growing. In this regard, the Government of the Republic will support the formation of the Crimea teams in hockey and figure skating, as well as holding a large sports tournament on the peninsula — the hockey Cup— the message says.

It is clarified that the issue was discussed at a meeting with the heads of republican sports institutions.

Our common task and priority is to give the opportunity to play sports for free of the most possible number of children, to analyze all the existing opportunities to expand the activities of institutions, to use the existing infrastructure as much as possible— emphasizes Sergey Aksenov.

Other issues relevant for the development of sports and related infrastructure have been discussed. It was decided that funds will be allocated to replace the elevators and the roof section in the Moscow-Crimea sanatorium, where 320 children are engaged in swimming in the pool at the expense of the budget on a common basis, and 47 other children from the families of the Swers-as a separate category.

In the sports school of technical sports, several promising areas are developing, including sailing, ultra -light aviation, computer sports and sports programming. The sailing team will be assisted in providing specialized equipment according to federal standards. I note: it is important that classes and competitions in high -tech species not only develop talents, but also direct the activities of the children in a practical direction, have further applied use— added the head of Crimea.

According to him, the support of the Crimea Academy of Football, which issued more than 450 children, was also discussed, and nine pupils of a sports school of different ages are part of the Russian national team. On average, about 300 children are studying here a year, including, according to the order of the Government of the Russian Federation, children from historical regions.

Winter sports development in Crimea

Active work on the development of winter sports in Crimea, where long -term snow cover is not formed, is conducted by the head of the sports school of winter sports «Heritage», the famous skater Ilya Averbukh. So, in May in Kerch, the Palace of Winter Sports “Heritage” with the first Crimea in Crimea was opened in Kerch. Prior to this — ice rinks in Simferopol and in the village of Uyutny Saksky District, where classes for children are held on a free basis, and a night hockey league is also valid.
